Abstract

It is a basic talk presenting the zebrafish as an animal model, mainly for the study of genetic diseases but also as a model for compound toxicology evaluations, high-throughput screening of compounds, etc. Then, specifically, we will present how we have made loss-of-function models of GRINpathies, how we evaluate the phenotypes of the generated models and how we evaluate the effect of different potential treatments in our models. In addition, new tools developed for the assessment of gastrointestinal function will be presented.
