Creation and implementation of a digital platform
Tender Notice for the project "Creation and implementation of a digital platform for the detection, communication and intervention of the adolescent and young adults who suffer or are at risk of suffering from a psychotic disorder" is open.
This is the first phase of a study by the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu, which has the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya. This is a project that, together with the Hospital Lliure project, won a call for grants from the Catalan Health Service to promote innovative public procurement.
The idea of creating an app to prevent and address incipient psychosis came from the Health Care Monitoring Committee for the first psychotic episodes of the Pac Sanitari. The professionals who are part of it noted the importance of using innovative language in caring for people living with such disorders, which usually appear in adolescence or early adulthood (between 14 and 25 years old).
Along these lines, the platform will be inspired by game-design, video game-inspired designs, and other resources offered by TIC, as these resources have been shown to attract the interest of teens and young adults.

The Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu is one of the entities that, within the framework of this line of Innovation Public Procurement grants, will carry out the project "Creation and implementation of a digital platform for the detection, communication and intervention in the adolescent population and young adults who suffer or are at risk of suffering from a psychotic disorder".
This project aims to generate an instrument capable of bringing the proven effective treatments to this segment of the population and creating loyalty, as well as to improve and integrate clinical records and become an effective means of communication between patients as equals, and between professionals and patients.
Es pretén buscar una sinergia entre els coneixements tècnics respecte a les propostes de tractament basades en l'evidència i els coneixements tecnològics derivats de les TIC'S, per obtenir, en un format adaptat al segment de població a què va dirigit, un instrument amb funcions preventives, informatives, terapèutiques i de comunicació.
The instrument must combine the pleasant and "gamified" format with the technical rigor of the treatment proposals, allow its periodic updating and be easy to use and accessible from any digital platform. The aim is to seek a synergy between technical knowledge with respect to evidence-based treatment proposals and technological knowledge derived from TICs, in order to obtain, in a format adapted to the target population segment, an instrument with preventive, informative, therapeutic and communication functions.
The project has been co-financed by 50% (259,869€) for the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union within the framework of the Operational Program FEDER of Catalunya 2014-2020. Total cost of the coordinated project: 519,738 €.
Information on the call for public procurement of innovation (PO FEDER Catalunya 2014-2020)
Innovation is one of the main axes of the Europe 2020 Strategy (EE2020) for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. Within the framework of the EE2020, the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) of the European Union is a source of financing for the regions.
The actions financed with FEDER in the 2014-2020 period must respond to the smart specialization strategy (research innovation strategies for smart specialisation, RIS3) of each European region.
One of the instruments of the Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization in Catalonia (RIS3CAT) is the RIS3CAT Public Procurement Program for Innovation, which aims to make the Public Administration an active agent in the Catalan innovation system through the co-financing of the Operational Program of FEDER of Catalonia 2014-2020 (PO FEDER Catalonia 2014-2020).
Health is one of the priority areas of action of the RIS3CAT Innovation Public Procurement Program. Thus, with the aim of stimulating the implementation of public procurement of innovation in the health sector, CatSalut has announced a line of aid for public procurement projects of innovation promoted by entities that own centers that belong to the comprehensive health system of public use of Catalonia (Resolution SLT/1913/2017).
