EXORAPI

Fundació de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu participates in the EXORAPI project · "Personalization of pediatric EXOSkeletons as an alternative to physical therapy for children with severe neuromuscular diseases" which has file number RTC-2016-4728-1.

The purpose of the EXORAPI project is to develop, implement and validate a walking exoskeleton for therapeutic use in children affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, to improve their quality of life and delay the deterioration of their physical condition

A multidisciplinary consortium formed part of the project team, which brings together all the necessary scientific knowledge in engineering and medicine to achieve the pediatric exoskeleton adapted to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Marsi Bionics led the consortium, and formed by Escribano Mechanical & Engineering, Eurecat with the advice of Duchenne Parent Project Spain, Centro de Automática y Robótica(CSIC-UPM) and the Rehabilitation Service of SJD Barcelona Childre’ns Hospital - Fundació de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu, where Dr Anna February
