Carmen Jerez Molina

The researcher Carmen Jerez graduated in Nursing from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 1992 and graduated in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Barcelona in 2005. She obtained her PhD from the University of Salamanca in 2016.

Since 2017, she has been part of the European research group in the study and design of eHealth solutions for the monitoring of vital signs and for the empowerment of patients to reduce the stress and anxiety situations they may suffer from surgical procedures. In 2012, she participated in the PERIS Project with funding from the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya in the implementation study at the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu of a scale to assess the presurgical anxiety of the child. Project SLT 006/17/00196.

Collaboration with the University of Sao Paulo, School of Infermeria of Ribeirao Preto, with financing from the Brazilian Government. She is currently the principal investigator of the Barcelona stage of the multicentre study (Brazil-Seville-Barcelona) on palliative pediatric cures.

Since 2019 she has been a full professor at the Sant Joan de Déu University Campus of the University of Barcelona.
