The Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu is participating in the COGNIVITRA project, which will develop an innovative and effective product that will provide solutions for cognitive training and expand it with physical stimulation for people at risk of developing neurodegenerative diseases.

COGNIVITRA is a project that combines medical care and new technologies: a tool will be developed that will make use of ICT (information and communication technologies) to integrate in devices and technological tools both formal therapeutic actions (medical professionals) and informal actions (caregivers and relatives) that these patients should receive. This will allow the cognitive and physical stimulation programs currently being carried out in hospitals or clinics to be carried out in the same homes as patients, improving adherence to therapies.

COGNIVITRA is expected to have a positive impact on health care by providing a new service model, which will reduce the costs associated with health care for people at risk for cognitive impairment, but at the same time it will mantain the relationship of caregivers with patients. For this reason, the COGNIVITRA project will involve professionals, carers and relatives, as well as final users in both product design and validation.
